Welcome

I uploaded 2 never-before-seen (at least for me, haha) HQ movie stills of Bobby – I’m always so happy to find new pictures since Mary hasn’t been doing much lately so I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Click here to see them!
Scott Pilgrim better keep in shape, because his upcoming battle against the world now has an official August release date.
Universal Pictures has updated the release date for director Edgar Wright’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World,” based on the Oni Press graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O’Malley. The film is now set to bow in theaters on August 13, 2010, featuring Michael Cera in the title role alongside a host of other notable actors including Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Chris Evans and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Anna Kendrick has compared her upcoming film Scott Pilgrim vs the World to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Kill Bill.
The Up in the Air star plays Stacey Pilgrim in Edgar Wright’s comic book adaptation.
Speaking to MTV, the 24-year-old praised the film and called it “awesome”.
“There’s nothing to compare it to. It’s like the energy from Ferris Bueller and the action from Kill Bill. It’s amazing,” she said.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World also stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman and Brandon Routh. The film opens in cinemas later this year. (Source)
Winstead looked nothing short of dreamy in her retro sweetheart dress and sweet chocolate peeptoe kitten heels. The soft mauve tulle dress looks like it could have been a prom dress from the 1950s, which likely helped to inspire the rest of Mary Elizabeth’s look. Note the retro upper-eye liner, deep pink lips, and shiny dark bob. Winstead carried a hard black clutch to complete the look – although a vintage lucite purse might have looked even sweeter. Last night a test screening of Edgar Wright’s next film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was held in Las Vegas. A brother of a writer at TFS was lucky enough to attend – check out his response below:
My wife and I were lucky enough to attend the Las Vegas screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World tonight. She got passes through her work, and we made time to get down there in the pouring rain (WTF VEGAS!) and get great seats. When we signed in, we were told it was a mix between Juno and Mortal Kombat. Yes…that’s right.
Confused, a few attendees in my section thought it was either Scott Pilgrim, or Kick-Ass. Both exciting prospects. Finally, 7pm rolled around and some lady with a microphone went to the front and announced that it was Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Exciting! She then proceeded to give us the usual ‘test audience’ disclaimers…early sound, FX work still not done, etc…but then we were sent away to the film.
Right off the bat, I knew I was going to love it. The Universal Logo was rendered in 8 bit with the Universal theme a MIDI version. Awesome. I knew I was again going to love it when the familiar opening from The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (triforce spinning) cued the opening shot, a tilt down to an exterior of a house.
Awesome.
From there, it was a mixture of Edgar Wright’s usual frenetic camerawork with some unbelievably slick transitions, and while I knew nothing about the story behind the comics, I knew from the start it would be a fun ride. (Read more…)
Mary and her Scott Pilgrim co-star Michael Cera attended the Premiere Of The Weinstein Company Film “Youth In Revolt” at Mann Chinese 6 in Los Angeles yesterday! I’m so happy Mary went after she didn’t go to one single event last year (or at least none with photos, hehe) – and I don’t really have to mention that she looked gorgeous, do I?
Enjoy the pictures, everyone!
Universal Pictures has released their 2010 movie preview which includes the first two official production photos from Edgar Wright’s big screen adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. One photo appears to feature Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, wielding a red Flaming Katana (George Lucas is gonna sue somebody…) in a futuristic nightclub, as Jason Schwartzman, who plays evil ex Gideon Gordon Graves and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Romona Flowers watch on in the background from atop a pyramid.
