Welcome

The trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World has finally been released and it’s absolutely fantastic – I really don’t know how many times I’ve watched it already!
You can see it at the official site. I’ve – of course – also made captures for your viewing pleasure, click here to see them!
Mary Elizabeth Winstead has her share of hot ex-boyfriends: Brandon Routh, Chris Evans, Jason Schwartzman… But Michael Cera is the only guy she’s kissing–onscreen, of course! She’s starring in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
In Scott Pilgrim, Winstead plays leading lady to Michael Cera–so you probably know what to expect. Smart humor, an awkward coming-of-age scenario, great music and, in this case, a lot of action as Cera’s character takes on his new girlfriend’s seven evil exes in order to win her heart.
The leading lady stopped by to visit this afternoon, perfectly dressed for the sunny spring weather in lacy frock she picked up in London, sweater tights from Urban Outfitters (“I have them in every color!” she admitted.) and bold red lips. She may have looked girly, but this actress–who’s appeared in movies like Grindhouse and Live Free or Die Hard–is tough!
She’s got a slew of active roles under her belt, but Winstead told us she never set out to work in that genre. “It’s not what I expected to get into when I started acting, but it’s the road I kinda ended up going down,” she said. “And I love it!”
From backflips to falling down a flight of stairs, she performed all her own stunts on set. She even learned Kung Fu to make her character’s fight scenes all the more realistic. Her signature move? “I’m really flexible, so they added in this kick, I kick up really high, close to my head, and then CLOMP my opponent right on the head.”
Great to hear she’s loving all these action types of films. Hope to see her in that type of genre myself along with some romantic comedies and drama. Her outfit is adorable too! ![]()
And as usual, a picture of her visit is already up in the gallery.

Paper Magazine caught up with our girl Mary the other day and she shared her thoughts on the film:
“It was like camp!” said Winstead of shooting the movie.
They even snapped a picture of her for their website which can be seen in the gallery.
According to Bleeding Cool, the Scott Pilgrim trailer is debuting this Friday with the UK release of Kick Ass:
One minute, twenty-three seconds of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, the new movie from Edgar Wright based on the Bryan O’Malley comic book, will play before the main film.
Can’t wait!!!
Edgar Wright has said that despite visual changes, his upcoming movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World shares the same sense of humour as his earlier work.
The director told Metro that the comic book adaptation is “not really” all that different from his previous British movies.
Wright told Metro: “It’s got an American cast but my sensibility is still there. It’s visually different from Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz but has the same sense of humour.
“It had a bigger budget but you don’t feel the benefits when you have an overreaching ambition. It was great working with new people but the process is the same – I just work very hard. Whatever the schedule is I work seven days a week, 24 hours a day.”
When asked why his films have such a cult following, he added: “I hope it’s because people want to watch the films I’ve made more than once. I include lots of details so people can pick up on different things when they watch it a second time.
“When people respond to those things it’s great. The greatest compliment you can get is when people repeat dialogue from the film back to you. Our fans are very loyal and like to get every joke.” (Source)
Another new poster was found at the ShoWest convention last night. The tagline reads “An epic of epic epicness.”
You can view the photo in the gallery:
And a bit of a side note, Bryan Lee O’Malley tweeted the following: “Later today I am going to do the official tease of the announcement. So I guess the previous thing was the tease of the tease.”
Edit: Wright wrote “For those who are asking: a hi res teaser poster for ‘Scott Pilgrim’ is coming soon.”
In a few days ShoWest starts up in Las Vegas. If you haven’t heard of ShoWest, it’s a convention for theater owners and operators to see what’s new in their industry and be wined and dined by the Hollywood Studios. Basically, it’s Comic-Con for the people that make big decisions in the movie industry.I’ve heard they’re screening Toy Story 3, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, The Karate Kid, and a few other big films. ShoWest 2010 will run from March 15-18.
Below is the promo poster that’s over at the ShoWest convention:
I didn’t see anything on the ShoWest web site about a Scott Pilgrim screening, but let’s hope we get something regarding the movie within the next few days! (Source)
